Hydro Excavation Services for Precision Digging and Cleaning

Hydro excavation uses our high-pressured water hoses to remove soil, which is then removed using our vacuum & disposed of. Vaxcavation is the future to excavation & our trucks are fully equipped for it. This form of non-destructive digging eliminates the risk of hitting vital services such as gas, power, fibre optic & water, while also minimising the mess made by an excavator.

Hydro Excavation is a great way to excavate due to how safe and reliable it is, traditional excavation can be very dangerous particularly when working close to mains power, sewage, telecommunication and fibre optic lines. We’ve all heard on the news about an excavator driver hitting telecommunication lines causing a mass outage and this is where Hydro Excavation shines. Not only should every operator Dial Before You Dig (1100) to ensure that there are no known services in the location, but using Hydro Excavation to excavate an area gives it the flexibility to work around and expose services without any damage at all.

How Hydro Excavation Works

Hydro excavation equipment combines high-pressure water an air vacuum. This system cuts through the soils and breaks it up. The vacuum then lifts the slurry from the excavation area. The debris is transferred to a debris tank.

Hydro excavation equipment needs a vacuum source. There are two choices for this, a fan system or a positive displacement blower. A fan system is able to move air in huge amounts. This allows for faster excavations. It is easier to control and operate. This is often lighter and less expensive than the positive displacement blowers.

A displacement blower is able to move air in longer distances than the fan system. Excavation can be done at greater depths but at a slower rate. Most hydro excavation applications can be done more effectively using the fan system.
